About MAKS Racing

 

MAKS Racing is an all female match racing team based in Newport, Sydney. We have all grown up sailing on Pittwater, and are looking forward to representing RPAYC and Australia on the world stage in July this year.

 

Milly, Alice, Seldon and Jess are all graduates of the RPAYC's Youth Development Program, a yacht focused training program designed to launch local sailors into the international match racing scene. Previous notable graduates of the program include James, Katie and Tom Spithill. 

 

Recently, MAKS were the first all girl crew to win an under 23 match racing event, when they won the Harken International Youth Match Racing regatta, hosted by the RPAYC in 2014. 

 

They are currently ranked:

1st in Australian Women's Match Racing

7th in International Women's Match Racing

96th International open match racing
